Women Who Dig is a book of literary journalism that travels through seven countries on three continents to share the lived experiences of women farmers and farm labourers. Through a multitude of women’s stories and voices, the book both honours women’s contributions to global food sovereignty and explores the challenges women farmers are currently facing in different parts of the world. The stories are inspiring and heart breaking, and will move the reader to question the current global food system’s true impacts on women.
